Local MP James Sunderland visited SHARE Bracknell at St Andrews Church in Priestwood which distributes surplus or end of day food from local supermarkets.
James met Sue and Juliet and the team along with Cllrs Jennie Green, Alvin Finch and Sandra Ingham.
SHARE Bracknell is a great opportunity for people to collect good quality fresh produce that due to stock control would have been disposed of.
There are no need for referrals and people can come along to collect each Friday between 1:00pm and 3:00pm.
James said:
“It was good to hear more about how they started this initiative and their future aims. They do great work and thanks to all the local stores that support them: Aldi, Brakes, Gail's Bakery, Greggs, Lidl, Marks and Spencer, Morrison and Waitrose.”
