James Sunderland joined a meeting for epidermolysisbullosa (EB) campaigners and experts led by Tony Byrne and Dr Sagair Hussain from EB charity DEBRA, and Professor of Molecular Dermatology at King’s College London, Professor John McGrath, to meet new Health Minister Andrew Stephenson CBE, MP.

At the meeting, DEBRA campaigners brought the Health Minister up to speed on the developments they have made with their drug repurposing programme, and discussed some of the challenges they currently face in clarifying the clinical trial requirements for repurposing drugs for a rare condition such as EB, and then how to get the drugs approved in the NHS.
