James Sunderland MP met with Richard Aylard, Director of Sustainability at Thames Water, and toured local sewage works sites to learn more about how sewage is processed in Bracknell Forest and the huge investment being made locally to increase capacity.

James said:

“One key item that arose is the need for planners at Bracknell to ensure that all developers connect rainwater outflows to storm drains and not sewage drains.

“It is also important that local people are made aware of the good work being undertaken by Thames Water and do not succumb to rumour and negativity. Yes, there is still more to do, but progress is thankfully being made.”
