James Sunderland was invited to speak at the Kaleidoscopic UK Conference 2023.
James said:
“I was honoured to attend the Kaleidoscopic UK Conference 2023 and talk to those attending. I have been a supporter of Kaleidoscopic UK since it started in 2019, and I am proud to be a champion for the work that they do.”
This year's conference theme was "Educate to Eliminate". In 2021, The Domestic Abuse Act came into force, and in April of this year, the Act was extended to include Post-Separation Abuse. There is always more we can do to make people aware of domestic abuse and the sources of help and support available from Thames Valley Police, Bracknell Forest Council and Wokingham Borough Council.
Kaleidoscopic UK's objectives are "The relief of need and the promotion of good health for children and adults in England and Wales who have been subjected to or exposed to domestic abuse through survivor-led support services and by educating and informing voluntary and statutory services, as well as the public at large, about all forms of domestic abuse and its harmful effects."
