James Sunderland attended a drop-in session in Parliament to learn more about Jacobs’ free ‘One Million Lives’ mental health check-in tool and the work of charities R;pple Suicide Prevention and Make A Difference.
He said:
“Most of us would not hesitate to go to the doctor for regular tests and check-ups if we had concerns about our physical health. But we often only seek help with our mental health when we’re already in crisis.
“Tragically suicides do occur in Bracknell, Crowthorne, Sandhurst and Finchampstead. I want to see the Government review the Mental Health Act to bring it up to speed.
“I encourage all of us to look at services such as the ‘One Million Lives’ tool and to check-in on your own mental health. You can find out more here: https://www.oml.world/”
