“Given recent challenges, I would like to hear your opinion about the service you expect from Royal Mail.”
Following James’ latest meeting with Royal Mail, senior executives visited the Bracknell Sorting Office and have now approved the recruitment of more delivery staff. This means that with additional posties being authorised in Bracknell and Crowthorne, deliveries will become more frequent with better coverage of holiday and sickness leave and the service should get back to what constituents expect. The recent disruptions to private and business mail due to staff sickness in February should also be remedied.
James added:
“More broadly, I am talking with Royal Mail to improve their services in Sandhurst, which has a different postcode, and the surrounding areas. I would be grateful if constituents in Sandhurst might keep me updated on the frequency of local deliveries. I will also stay in close contact with senior management, both in Bracknell and Westminster, and will be meeting the Post Office Minister next week.
“Given recent challenges, I would like to hear your opinion about the service you expect from Royal Mail. If you can spare a few minutes, please do complete my short online survey, which can be found below. The data collected from the survey will be shared with Royal Mail to ensure that they better understand the needs of all residents in Bracknell Forest and can fully meet the local demand.”
