James said:

“It was an honour to be part of these celebrations. Great speeches by Mrs Suzanna Rose, the Deputy Lord Lieutenant of the Royal County of Berkshire; Cllr Ankur Shiv Bhandari the Mayor of Bracknell Forest; Cllr Dale Birch, Deputy Leader of Bracknell Forest Council and Tim Wheadon, Chief Executive of Bracknell Forest Council. And then the lighting of the beacon.

Thank you to everyone involved in organising the event for the community.”

The evening was rounded off with a performance by a local choir, Vocalese and everyone joined in in a rendition of Neil Diamond's Sweet Caroline, as chosen by listeners of BBC Radio Berkshire for the Jubilee singalong.
