James Sunderland presents cheque to local charity Debra

James Sunderland presents a cheque for over £2,000 raised at the Bracknell Conservatives Annual Dinner to Bracknell-based charity Debra which helps people, mainly children and young people, who are affected by Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB).

Debra is a national charity headquartered in Bracknell which provides support for people affected by EB and their families.

Epidermolysis Bullosa is a group of genetic skin conditions that cause the skin to blister and tear at the slightest touch.

There are many different types of EB, all classified under four main types ranging from the mildest, in which only the hands and feet are affected, to the most severe, which can have a devastating effect on any part of the body causing lifelong disability and pain. In severe cases EB can sadly be fatal.
