James Sunderland helps plant cherry tree tribute for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee

Local MP, James Sunderland joined Cllr Emily Blyth, Chairman of Winkfield Parish Council to plant the last of the 70 new cherry trees at Allsmoor Field in Martins Heron.

The new cherry trees are part of a lasting tribute by the parish to Her Majesty the Queen for her Platinum Jubilee year.

James said:

“It was an honour to help plant the last tree. The trees will look beautiful in the spring and in years to come as they grow and mature.

“Thank you to Cllr Blyth, Cllr Robert Warren, the Clerk; Marcia Milsom and Paul, Chris and David from the grounds team for arranging this.”
