James Sunderland MP is backing a new initiative by VisitEngland to support tourism businesses as they begin to reopen in line with Government guidance.
The ‘We’re Good to Go’ common industry standard and supporting mark provides a means by which businesses can demonstrate that they are adhering to Government and public health guidance, have carried out a COVID-19 risk assessment, and made sure they have the required processes in place.
The mark will not only provide visitors with a visual signal that tourism businesses have taken the necessary steps to reopen, but also provides businesses with reassurance that they have followed (or in some cases gone beyond) the guidance issued by the Government. The industry standard has been developed in partnership with Tourism Northern Ireland, Visit Wales and VisitScotland with input from 40 industry bodies as well as destination management organisations across the country.
